Become part of the VMS System team, as a Senior System Engineer and help to develop flight compliant systems for industry-leading projects.
Job Responsibilities of the Senior System Engineer:
• You will contribute and guide a high-performing Systems Engineering team to develop functions, architecture, and requirements.
• Review safety-critical system integration activities.
• Lead the system requirements development and validation efforts, with a specific focus on autonomous operations.
Job Requirements of the Senior System Engineer:
• B.S. in related engineering fields. M.S. preferred.
• At least 6-8 years of experience in control systems development
• Hands-on experience in the development and decomposition of requirements, developing and allocating functions, and interfacing with certification and systems safety teams to deliver certification deliverables.
• Experience with Matlab /Simulink
• Experience with ARP4754, ARP4761
• Familiarity with DO-160, DO-178, DO-254
Both full-time permanent and long-term contract opportunities are available, with most contractors averaging 18-24 months based on a 6–12-month renewable contract. The option to transition to staff after six months is also available but not guaranteed.
