Job Description

Are you an experienced Quality Control Manager or Specialist with expertise in AS9100 and quality management systems? Do you have a proven track record of leading external audits? Responsibilities of the Quality Control Manager

  • Review existing procedures to ensure optimal efficiency, lead necessary changes, and update procedures as required.
  • Establish metrics for Quality Control (QC) functions to measure performance and highlight the results of improvement efforts.
  • Develop and implement a Certified/Qualified Inspector program to encompass all personnel authorized to receive QC stamps.
  • Coordinate external and customer audits, ensuring that any findings are addressed and closed with the required actions.
  • Perform reviews of customer quality requirements during proposal and contract evaluations.
  • Oversee Calibration, Foreign Object Debris (FOD), Document Control, and Record Control processes to ensure compliance with AS9100 standards.
  • Support cross-functional teams in conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective Action (CAR) initiatives, both internally and with customers.
  • Manage the First Article Inspection (FAI) process and related planning.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure implementation and documentation of effective Quality Management System, which includes, but not limited to, create, review, update and implement Quality Procedures and work instructions to ensure that all quality management system processes are well documented and meet AS9100, regulatory and contractual requirements to customers.

 

 

Requirements of the Quality Control Manager

  • Bachelor degree preferred in Quality Management, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or related field
  • Proficient in understanding of ISO 9001, AS9100 standards, FAA and other regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing methodologies
