Responsibilities of the Operations Manager
- Play a key role in the site’s S&OP process, ensuring alignment and shared understanding of capacity, production schedules, and supply constraints.
- Oversee daily operations of the production facility, managing both operational performance and financial outcomes within budget parameters.
- Drive improvements in the manufacturing unit’s capability and capacity to meet on-time delivery and cost objectives.
- Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) including OTD, schedule adherence, throughput, aging shortages, and replan frequency — and leverage data insights to guide priorities and actions.
- Manage lead parts, update and adjust production schedules, and implement real-time corrective actions to maintain build progress.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and pursue world-class manufacturing standards and best practices.
Requirements of the Operations Manager
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a leadership or management role.
- Demonstrated record of operational excellence within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience overseeing a fast-paced manufacturing facility, ideally within an engineering setting including responsibility for supply chain and warehouse operations.
