Job Description
Mechanical CAD Designer (Creo)
We’re building out our MCAD team to support a major increase in electromechanical design work—and this is a great opportunity for a strong Creo designer who wants real career growth (not just another CAD job).
We have openings at the Senior and Staff levels, plus a 6-month contract role (with potential to convert).
What You’ll Actually Be Doing
- Own Creo modeling + detailed drawing creation (this is a hands-on CAD role)
- Support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
- Work side-by-side with engineers to turn concepts into manufacturable designs
- Apply GD&T correctly (position, runout, perpendicularity, etc.)
- Build and refine models used in electromechanical assemblies
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of Creo experience (3–7+ ideal)
- Strong skills in 3D modeling + drawing creation
- Working knowledge of GD&T
- Bonus: machining (milling/turning) or plastics experience
What Makes This Role Different
This is a true Designer role (not Engineer):
- Engineers handle analysis and design ownership
- You focus on CAD execution—building clean, structured, production-ready models
If you enjoy being the person who actually builds the design the right way, you’ll thrive here.
What You’ll Be Working On
- Electromechanical actuation systems
- Packaging and integration of components into larger assemblies
- Collaboration with ECAD for PWB/CCA integration
Growth Opportunity
This team actively promotes from within:
- Clear path: Designer ? Engineer ? Leadership
- Tuition reimbursement (up to 80%)
- Hiring manager started as a designer and worked up to leadership
Compensation
- Staff Level: ~$110K
- Contract and Senior comp DOE
Location
- Onsite preferred
