Manufacturing Technician – Precision Micro Soldering
Location: San Fernando
Day rate – $18-22 – First Shift
Temp to Hire – 6 month initial contract
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing Technician with experience in precision micro soldering, to join a multi-billion dollar tier 1 aerospace and defense manufacturer in San Fernando. This hands-on role is critical to supporting the production team by performing ultra-fine soldering tasks under a microscope, contributing to the manufacture of cutting-edge aerospace components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform micro soldering of ultra-fine gold wire (approximately 1/10th the diameter of a human hair) using a microscope
- Solder in highly specific configurations/loops with exceptional precision (errors require complete rework)
- Handle delicate components and maintain consistency across high-volume, quality-critical production
- Conduct visual inspections for solder joint quality and compliance with specifications
- Follow strict process documentation and safety procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and ESD-safe work environment
Requirements:
- Proven experience in micro soldering, ideally in aerospace, medical devices, electronics, or a similar high-precision industry
- Strong hand-eye coordination and dexterity for ultra-fine detailed work under a microscope
- Ability to read and follow technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions
- High level of attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- High school diploma as a minimum.
- Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment
