Job Description

Are you a hands-on maintenance professional looking to lead, innovate, and grow your career in a aerospace environment? We’re seeking a Maintenance Supervisor / Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to join a billion-dollar aerospace organization that operates with the agility and culture of an independent company. This is not a “keep-the-lights-on” role- this is a chance to transform maintenance operations while preparing to step into management.

Why This Role Is Exciting as a Maintenance Supervisor:

  • Lead a team of highly skilled maintenance professionals, some of whom have been on the shop floor for decades.

  • Step into a succession-planning role- in 18 months to 3 years, you will be promoted to Facilities Engineering Manager.

  • Work in a regulated aerospace environment (AS9100) with complex, engineered-to-order products.

  • Modernize maintenance operations, implement proactive maintenance practices, and improve reliability and uptime.

  • Gain high visibility and collaborate daily with leadership and operations, including the President – this is a hands-on, strategic, and impactful role.

What You’ll Do as a Maintenance Supervisor:

  • Supervise and mentor ~11 maintenance staff plus support machinists.

  • Oversee manufacturing equipment (~650 assets) and facilities systems (HVAC, boilers, electrical, etc.).

  • Manage work orders, prioritize tasks, and coordinate between maintenance, operations, and tooling teams.

  • Lead the shift from reactive “firefighting” to preventive, reliability-focused maintenance.

  • Improve utilization of the CMMS and help implement structured preventive maintenance programs (PPM).

  • Engage directly on the shop floor to build trust, drive change, and influence culture.

What We’re Looking For from a Maintenance Supervisor:

  • Technical degree preferred (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Reliability, Materials, or related).

  • Experience in industrial maintenance, reliability engineering, or preventive maintenance programs.

  • Hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment and/or facilities systems.

  • Energetic, proactive, and capable of leading change while earning respect on the shop floor.

  • Strong communicator who can collaborate with operators, leadership, and cross-functional teams.

  • Self-directed and able to manage priorities in a fast-paced, high-mix environment.

What’s In It For You as a Maintenance Supervisor :

  •  $105k–$120k, depending on experience.

  • High visibility role with direct path to management within 18–36 months.

  • Opportunity to modernize a reactive maintenance function and make a measurable impact.

  • Be part of a collaborative, skilled team in a supportive aerospace manufacturing environment.
