Our client is a respected aerospace manufacturer that has produced high strength aerospace fasteners for more than 50 years. Their workforce includes highly experienced specialists with deep knowledge of the fastener industry. The company manufactures both standard and specialised fasteners using manufacturing equipment and processes approved by major aerospace OEMs.
Due to continued expansion, they are now seeking a skilled Hot Header Operator to support production and ensure high quality manufacturing standards are maintained.
This opportunity offers strong long term prospects. The business has grown from $11m to $30m in revenue in recent years and continues to expand. There are two Hot Header positions available. One role is on the first shift working 6:00am to 2:30pm, and one role is on the second shift working 2:30pm to 11:00pm.
As the Hot Header Operator your responsibilities will include:
• Forge metal parts to engineering drawings and performance standards
• Operate hot heading machines to form, shape and stamp aerospace fasteners
• Inspect work in progress using precision measuring instruments
• Follow engineering drawings and written instructions to achieve customer specifications
• Monitor equipment operation and support safe and efficient production
As the Hot Header you will bring:
• Two to three years experience in a similar manufacturing environment
• Ability to set up andrun hot heading machines
• Knowledge of tooling required to maintain consistent quality results
• Experience using precision measuring instruments
• Strong troubleshooting ability and mechanical aptitude
