HIL Test Engineer – Flight Control Focus

We have been retained to hire a Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Test Engineer who thrives in hands-on environments. If you’re passionate about embedded control systems and have experience validating real-time software through HIL environments, this is your opportunity to make a real impact.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Develop and run automated HIL test cases for real-time flight control systems
• Use Python to write test scripts that simulate real-world flight conditions
• Validate controllers under fault scenarios, edge cases, and nominal conditions
• Work closely with software and controls engineers to debug issues across hardware and software

What You Bring

• Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (stronger focus on electrical systems preferred)
• Hands-on HIL testing experience (Speedgoat, dSPACE, NI, or similar platforms)
• Strong Python skills for scripting and automation
• Solid understanding of real-time embedded control systems (flight control, motor/inverter control, etc.)
• Experience working with flight control systems—aerospace, drones, or high-integrity robotics

Bonus If You Have:

• Background in drone development, electric vehicles, or aerospace systems
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and model-based design
• Familiarity with DO-178C or other regulated software environments
