Contract EWIS Engineer – Remote – Immediate Start

RPS is supporting a leading aerospace innovator with an urgent requirement for a Contract EWIS Engineer to join their electrical systems design team. This is a remote role on a high-profile programme developing advanced electrical architectures for next-generation aircraft.
You’ll take ownership of harness and circuit design using the Siemens Capital tool suite, ensuring seamless integration across the EWIS lifecycle, from schematic design through to detailed harness definition and digital manufacturing data. You’ll collaborate closely with system, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to deliver accurate, certifiable wiring designs to strict aerospace standards.
This role suits an engineer who thrives in fast-paced programmes and enjoys tackling complex electrical design challenges. As a EWIS Engineer contractor your background will include:
Required
- Extensive experience in harness/circuit design using Capital Logic
- Strong experience in Capital Harness Designer (Capital XC)
Preferred
- Experience with 3D routing in CATIA V5 and/or Siemens NX
- Familiarity with Capital Library (Component Manager)
- Experience with Capital Symbol Designer
- Prior experience delivering EWIS for aerospace or defence applications
