Do you want to work on NPI projects for a world-leading Aerospace Manufacturer?
We have been retained by a Tier 1 aerospace supplier, renowned for supplying OEM industry giants such as Lockheed Martin and Boeing. They are actively seeking a Subject Matter Expert in Embedded Software Engineering with a strong knowledge of DO-178 guidelines, to join their dynamic team in the San Fernando region at an exciting time of growth and continued success.
This role revolves heavily around New Product Introduction (NPI), you will be this company’s leading industry expert, leading projects from researching, planning, and designing, right through to product development and final release. Working closely with aviation guidelines – DO178C/B, assuring extensive analysis is conducted to align with cost, quality, and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Play a pivotal part in requirements capture, and customer liaison to define software architecture.
- Develop and verify complex embedded code to meet the stringent standards of the aerospace industry protocols e.g. – ARINC429, RS232, CAN, AFDX.
- Collaborate closely with hardware and electronics teams to integrate software solutions effectively.
- Develop new code as well as contribute to the enhancement and optimization of existing embedded software systems.
- Participate in software testing, debugging, and performance activities.
Requirements:
- 8-10+ years of Embedded Software Experience – EG- Python (SDK) and Linux Redhat.
- Knowledge of DO-178C/B and Aviation protocols.
- Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A master’s or PhD is considered advantageous.
- Previous experience working on the full Software development life cycle.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl or VB
