My client is doing just that! They are seeking an ambitious Embedded Software Engineer with a strong understanding and passion for Linux to join their existing team. You’ll play a key role in developing the next generation of highly innovate autonomous, safety-critical control systems for hybrid vehicle technology.
The successful Embedded Software Engineer will receive a salary of $105-145k, depending on experience, with ample room for career progression and world leading training. Additionally, they offer a hybrid working model (3 days on-site and 2 days working from home) in a modern, spacious new office in Bothell, WA.

Responsibilities
- Design and develop cutting-edge embedded software for controlling complex, safety-critical hybrid vehicle technology.
- Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, from conception to deployment.
- Engage in meetings, presentations, and effective communication of engineering concepts.
The ideal Embedded Software Engineer will have:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in relevant fields, coupled with 3+ years of hands-on experience in C/C++/Rust development on Linux platforms.
- Proficiency with ROS / ROS2 / MicroROS and associated toolsets.
- Strong grasp of Object-Oriented Design principles, real-time embedded operating systems, and familiarity with electrical components.
- Dedication to software robustness through code reviews, unit testing, and Test-Driven Development (TDD), embedded debugging tools, and hardware device drivers.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and BASH.
Desired Skills:
- Understanding of communication protocols, particularly J1939, TCP, and UDP.
- Mechanical aptitude for tasks like building wiring harnesses and soldering.
