Our client, a leading Tier 1 aerospace supplier, renowned for supplying industry giants such as Airbus and Boeing is currently seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join their dynamic team. Operating from multiple locations across the United States, including their growing team in Burbank, California.
This role encompasses New Product Introduction (NPI), you will be involved with researching, planning, designing, and developing products, from concept right through to final release. Working closely with aviation guidelines – DO178C, as well as getting the opportunity to work on innovative technologies such as SCADE. Assuring extensive analysis is conducted to align with cost, quality, and customer requirements. They are considering engineers from Mid-level (II) right through to senior and experienced Engineers (IV). Top of Form

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and verify complex embedded code to meet the stringent standards of the aerospace industry protocols e.g. – ARINC429, RS232, CAN, AFDX.
- Collaborate closely with hardware and electronics teams to integrate software solutions effectively.
- Develop new code as well as contribute to the enhancement and optimization of existing embedded software systems.
- Participate in software testing, debugging, and performance activities.
Requirements:
- 3-8+ years of experience in coding with Embedded C/C++, preferably in the context of AC/DC or STEP motors.
- Knowledge of DO-178C and Aviation protocols.
- Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A master’s or PhD is considered advantageous.
- Familiarity with software simulation and emulation techniques.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Perl or VB
