Job Description
A multimillion world leader in power systems is looking for a Business Development Manager for aerospace, military, defense and high-end industrial applications. As a Business Development Manager fast-track and evolve into senior management, within 6 months you would take over as Business Unit Manager, the role eventually progresses to VP level.
Job Summary of the Business Development Manager:
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and defense contractors globally
- Develop strategic relationships with aerospace and defense industry stakeholders
- Work closely with engineering teams to align technical solutions with customer requirements
- Lead customer engagements, proposal development, contract negotiations, and bid strategies Analyze market trends and competitor offerings in the electric propulsion segment
- Represent the company during customer visits as well as global aerospace and defense exhibitions and industry events
- Monitor and report on KPIs and growth targets
- Other Duties as assigned by Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Qualifications of the Business Development Manager:
- 6–9 years of experience
- Exposure to managing or reading a P&L is a plus. MBA is not required but appreciated
- Experience in adjacent markets (e.g., medical, automotive) acceptable if technically relevant (e.g., electric motors)
- Ability to travel up to 50%, including international travel
- Strong analytical skills to compile data into useful information and interpret
