Responsibilities of the associate Project Manager

 

  • Assist the Director and executive team in strategically and tactically managing Ontic programs/initiatives, organizational plans, budgets, personnel, and functions in licensing and manufacturing aviation legacy products.
  • Set and adjust the business practices of the managed teams to keep them competitive and successful in an ever-changing business environment.
  • Interpret the applicable policies and procedures and provide recommendations to cover any gray or unclear areas that may arise during department operations.
  • Participate in pre-award evaluations of potential adoptions (product transitions).
  • Manage licensor relationships during the adoption process.
  • Ensure successful project closure and hand-off to functional departments.
  • Collaborate across company functions to effectively manage assigned programs or accounts and achieve business objectives.

 

Requirements of the Associate Project Manager

 

  • A Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience
  • PMP or similar certification is desirable. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in program/project management within technical or engineering environments.
  • A background in aerospace manufacturing is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project or a similar application, as well as in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong leadership skills are required, along with the ability to work well with a team and independently with little or no supervision.
  • Business travel throughout the year, ranging from 10% to 20%.
