Assembly Supervisor – 2nd Shift
Our client is a leading provider of production and automated assembly systems for the aerospace and defense industry, including advanced automated equipment and the largest Invar molds in the industry.
Summary
Provide exceptional leadership to second-shift employees (start time 3:00 PM), ensuring timely completion of duties and adherence to safety protocols.
Essential Functions

• Supervise and manage daily department activities.
• Communicate schedules, objectives, quality concerns, and progress between shifts.
• Mentor employees and ensure required job-specific training.
• Assign tasks to meet performance metrics and support continuous improvement.
• Identify and escalate challenges as needed.
• Fabricate, revise, and maintain tools, fixtures, jigs, and related components.
• Interpret blueprints, specifications, and model-based definition data.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and proper equipment care.
• Collaborate effectively to maximize productivity.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years manufacturing experience, including conventional machines and jig/fixture manufacturing.
• 3+ years leadership or supervisory experience.
• Must qualify as a “US Person” per Export Control requirements.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, overtime, and weekends.

Travel

• Primarily local; occasional out-of-area or overnight travel possible.

Working Conditions

• Exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, particles, vibration, and occasional chemicals.
• Moderate noise levels; adherence to safety practices required.
• Weekend work may be necessary to meet business needs.

Key Information and Benefits

• $40 – $46 per hour
