The responsibilities of the UK Sales Manager position are as follows:

  • Achieve in-year existing customer order intake, gross margin, and revenue targets

  • Grow sales by developing customer relationships with OEMs and End Users, taking market share from competitors, and maintain existing business.

  • Collaborate closely with other global Sales Managers within the Group sales team.

  • Monitor competitor products, sales and marketing activities.

  • Attend trade shows and exhibitions as the UK Sales Manage

  • Ownership of sales forecasting activities for your UK region and ensure performance goals are achieved in accordance with objectives set by the Global Sales Director.

  • Create opportunity reviews, key account management reports and territory reviews with the UK MOD and in collaboration with other 1st tier partners.

  • Locate, plan for, and influence new programs and opportunities within the owned customer and account base.

  • Develop a sound knowledge and understanding of the product portfolio to enable the promotion of groupwide products to existing customers  

  • Engage in programs with internal R&D and Engineering Teams, liaising closely with internal stakeholders, to ensure program issues with the customer are smoothly addressed.

The skills/experience required for the UK Sales Manager position are as follows:

  • Served time within Her Majesties Armed Forces to a leadership level

  • Degree qualified or equivalent progressive experience within the Armed Forces

  • Ability to engage with military and non-military customers on technical product matters

  • Proven Program/Project management experience in a technical field or product range

  • Experience and success with configuration management of customised technical solutions

  • An entrepreneurial outlook and determination to drive excellence

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Self-starter with the ability to cope with competing demands, prioritize your own workload and completion of tasks accordingly

  • Excellent communication skills at all levels – both spoken and written
