A well-known manufacturer of precision machined parts based near Burnley are looking to expand their Quality department with an additional two Quality Technician hires on a permanent basis. The roles will be set up on 6-2 / 2-10 rotating shift pattern, offering a competitive salary and overtime rates.


Reporting directly to the Quality Team Leader you'll be supporting the department on all quality-related issues, focusing on inspections of parts, compiling documentation and helping to implement improvement actions. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure inspection standards adhere to the Quality Management System
  • Carry out First / Last off inspections – in line with customer specifications
  • Monitor and check shop-floor process inspections, retraining where required
  • Stop production in the event of non-conformances and defective parts
  • Ensure inspection reports are maintained and stored in line with customer and company requirements
  • Complete Layout inspection in line with the QMS



To be considered for these positions you'll need to demonstrate previous experience in an inspection capacity, with an eye for detail and the ability to measure to precision standards. You'll need to be comfortable using manual inspection tools such as verniers, callipers and micrometers, and ideally be able to read engineering drawings and CMM reports.
