The responsibilities of the Production Supervisor will include:
- Overseeing cleanroom operations
- Monitoring performance to target ensuring that goods are produced efficiently at the correct amount, cost and standard whilst seeking continuous improvement
- Planning and organising resources with colleagues to achieve schedules and report exceptions to the Production Manager
- Monitor day to day execution of the Production Plan, intervening where necessary
- Oversee training of colleagues, maintaining training records as required by the QMS
- Support with processes such as recruitment and selection, induction, and appraisals
- Communicate policies, visions and mission statements to staff and ensure that these are implemented
- Deputise as Production Manager during periods of absence
The successful Production Supervisor will have the following experience, qualifications, and characteristics:
- A-Levels and GCSE or equivalent
- Relevant experience in a manufacturing industry as Production Supervisor
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- Able to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
- People management skills
- Basic knowledge of Quality Control practices
- Able to work in a cleanroom environment
- Verbal and written communication skills with the capability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Having a positive attitude, a desire to learn and be challenged
- Previously worked in a production environment regulated to ISO 13485 standard and / or ISO 9001
- Plastic extrusion and/or plastic injection moulding knowledge
