The responsibilities of the Procurement Bid Manager will be as follows:

  • Work as part of the bid team, collaborating with a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from sales, engineering, product, finance, commercial, and programme teams
  • Prepare and review the commercial aspects of the bid
  • Participate in supplier selection and initiate any supplier on boarding
  • Assist in the development of new contracts and amending existing contracts with the support of the commercial team
  • Contribute to the written proposal in terms of content and presentation
  • Develop Flow Downs
  • Understand and resolve complex technical, strategic and business issues


What you will need to do the job:

  • A good technical understanding of IT, technology, infrastructure and hardware in the defence industry
  • Experience working on defence bids greater that £15 million
  • Excellent communication skills with the gravitas and confidence to lead on large negotiations and scope strategies
  • Degree qualified is desirable
  • IACCM or CIPS is desirable
